Spring Commencement Ceremonies: May 16 & 17Trinity will proudly celebrate its 122nd commencement with two ceremonies on May 16 and 17, 2025, which will also be live-streamed.
The School of Professional and Graduate Studies specializes in innovative programs in flexible formats that serve adult students, whether you are seeking to advance your career or make a career change. Our programs serve you by offering certificates, associates and bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees in business, health services, education, media and social services. Many of our adult students have taken courses at one or more colleges over the years and are ready to return and finish; Trinity’s flexible transfer credit policy and credit for prior life experiences make it easy!
We offer classes online, or in person; at night or on weekends; in semester-long or accelerated formats; at our main campus just minutes from the Capitol and downtown DC, or at THEARC in Southeast DC. No matter which program you choose, you will attend small classes with professors who know you and the communities they serve.

Trinity’s learn state-of-the-art multimedia multimedia production in Trinity’s new Digital Newsroom, and gain hands-on experience building professional portfolios to qualify for competitive internships and sought-after media jobs upon graduation from the Journalism and Strategic Communications programs. It will also be a hub of extra-curricular activities including the Trinity Times, podcast production and the full range of 21st century communications.
Trinity is the only college or university offering degree and certificate programs “East of the River.” Over 130 students currently attend classes at THEARC, many seeking degrees in Early Childhood Education.
Choose evening or weekend classes offered online and in-person, designed for working adults with eight-week formats or meeting on alternate weeks. Most programs allow you to begin your studies during the spring, summer or fall and set your own pace.

Dean Mostowy received bachelor’s degree in political science and newspaper journalism from Syracuse University before earning his Juris Doctorate from George Washington University. Before he joined Trinity he held several positions in the local court systems, including the District Court of Maryland where he implemented a system to ensure victims of domestic violence had easy access to protective orders. Mr. Mostowy joined the faculty at Trinity in 2008 and after serving as Associate Dean for many years was appointed Dean in 2022. Dean Mostowy is focused of serving adult students, the fastest-growing segment of higher-education, by providing flexible programs that are designed to serve your needs. He prides himself on being available to his students and serving the community by serving you.
