Trinity Nursing Graduates Out-Earn Their Regional Peers, Federal Data Shows

Trinity Washington University’s nursing graduates earn more than nursing graduates of any other college in the region, according to the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard. The federal data puts the median earnings of Trinity nursing alumnae at $106,318 four years after graduation. In addition, the median total debt is lower than many of the other big name schools of this category in the region. This is a result that reflects the preparation, clinical training, and determination our students bring to their profession from their first day on campus, as well as our brilliant faculty who prepare the region’s best and most highly sought nurses.

“We are incredibly proud of our Nursing graduates and what their success represents,” said Dr. Brigid Noonan, Dean of the School of Nursing & Health Professions. “Their accomplishments are a testament to Trinity’s longstanding commitment to the communities we serve. Our graduates come from across the DMV, and importantly, they stay here. They build their careers, raise their families, and remain invested in the communities they call home. This reflects more than educational success; it represents a lasting commitment to strengthening the local nursing workforce, promoting stability for families, and ensuring that our region has dedicated, well-prepared nursing professionals to serve its residents for years to come.”

Trinity’s nursing programs have made waves in the region for many years. In 2023, 100% of our nursing graduates passed the NCLEX licensure exam on their first try, a record for nursing graduates in the region, and our graduates have continued to perform at a high level on the exam ever since. We also have numerous partnerships that help make our program the top program in the region, such as last year’s new partnership with the Bedford Falls Pathway Pilot Program.

Trinity’s School of Nursing and Health Professions offers many programs in Nursing, as well as Public Health, Counseling, Community Health, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, and more. Every program at Trinity prepares our graduates to succeed and excel in their careers after graduation.
