The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), through the Recruitment, Inclusion, Sustainability, and Education (RISE) Pathways Program and with generous funding from the Sandra Hoskins Legacy Foundation, invited Trinity Washington University to participate in the pilot initiative to provide financial assistance to occupational therapy (OT) and occupational therapy assistant (OTA) students in programs near AOTA Headquarters. Trinity received $7,500 to help students offset costs and reduce barriers to academic success, including exam preparation and board-related expenses. January 2026 MOT graduates were awarded vouchers to offset the cost of their National Board for the Certification of Occupational Therapy certification exam. All recent MOT graduates who received the financial support passed the certification exam on the first attempt.
