Kathleen Passidomo ’75

Kathleen Passidomo is a Republican member of the Florida Senate and is the President-designate of the Florida Senate for the 2022-24 legislative term. She will be officially sworn in as president in fall 2022, after the November elections. In the Florida Senate, she has represented the 28th district since 2016, which includes Collier, Hendry, and part of Lee County in Southwest Florida. She served as majority leader of the Florida Senate from 2018 to 2020. She previously served three terms in the Florida House of Representatives, representing the Naples area from 2010 to 2016.

Senator Passidomo earned her bachelor of arts from Trinity in 1975 and earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1978. She is a founding partner of the law firm of Kelly, Passidomo & Alba LLP.

She has received numerous awards including the AARP Capitol Caregiver Award in 2018, 2017 and the PACE Center for Girls, Collier, Leadership Award in 2019, 2018, 2017.
