Anna Spriggs ’06, who earned her master of science in administration (MSA) with a focus in human resources management, is the chief of human resources and administration for the Truth Initiative, the largest nonprofit public health organization in the U.S. She believes in paying it forward – and has been an adjunct professor in Trinity’s MSA program in the School of Business and Graduate Studies since 2011.
In September 2018, the Stevie Awards for Great Employers honored Anna Spriggs and her HR team for three awards: Bronze for Chief HR Officer of the year; Silver for Dynamic New Workspace; and Gold for Achievement in Workplace Health and Wellbeing (which was her capstone project at Trinity and she implemented). More than 500 companies from 27 countries submitted entries for these international awards – and the Truth Initiative won in every category it entered.
Spriggs has been a vital player in Truth Initiative’s success from the beginning, joining the organization as its second employee in 1999. As part of the executive leadership team, she is a diligent leader who works to guarantee that employee engagement, diversity and workplace satisfaction are at the core of Truth’s commitment. She is responsible for the organization’s HR strategic planning, recruitment and retention, benefits, training and development, compensation, legal compliance, employee relations and performance management.
