Nicole Breland Aandahl, Senior Vice President for People and Culture, Center for Strategic and International Studies, will give the keynote address: “Diversity in Defense, Development and Diplomacy.” She will speak about her experience in foreign service and her forthcoming book on how the lack of diversity in U.S. foreign affairs is detrimental to our approach to the world. The People and Culture initiative at CSIS is dedicated to elevating diverse voices and perspectives to lead to more ideas, more innovation, and more robust policy solutions. Ms. Aandahl has served as a thought leader on diversity and inclusion throughout her international affairs and legal career.
