Philosophy

I find great fulfillment in teaching students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It feels privileged to be a part of their crucial phase where these young, bright minds are marching towards their end goal. In the classroom and in the lab, my first philosophy is respect. On day one I explicitly let students know that I believe in them regardless of their background or circumstances. I treat each student as an individual and work to understand their circumstances. I enjoy seeing students benefit from active learning and problem-solving. My teaching philosophy can be summed up in three words: inclusive, equal, and engaging.
