Adjunct Faculty for Critical Reading & Writing
Salary: $965/per credit
Trinity Washington University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach the following course in person during the Fall 2025 semester: Critical Reading and Writing Seminar, CRS 101 (4 credits). Classes are 75 minutes long. Additionally, since this is a 4-credit course, classes meet on Fridays for 50 minutes with the same beginning time. We are seeking instructors who are available at the following days and times:
MW 7:30-8:45 AM; Fri 7:30-8:20 AM
MW 9-10:15 AM; Fri 9-9:50 AM
MW 10:30-11:45 PM; Fri 10:30-11:20 AM
MW 1:30-2:45 PM; Fri 1:30-2:20 PM
MW 3-4:15 PM; Fri 3:00 -3:50 PM
TTH 12:00-1:15 PM; Fri 12:00-12:50 PM
TTH 1:30-2:45 PM; Fri 1:30-2:20 PM
TTH 2:30-3:45 PM (this is a high school dual enrollment section)
Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in composition and rhetoric, curriculum and instruction in literacy studies, or other closely related field.
Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices, with strong backgrounds in higher education pedagogy and classroom instruction.
