Adjunct Faculty for English
Salary: $965/per Credit
Trinity Washington University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach ENGL 107, College Composition, during the Fall 2025 semester (3 credits). ENGL 107 is a required course in the first-year curriculum, designed to help students to develop effective writing skills for evidence-based, thesis-centered academic essays. The course is organized around several standardized linked assignments, culminating in an 8-to 10-page research paper.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate should have earned at least a master’s degree from an accredited institution, in English, rhetoric and composition, or another related field, and should be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. A background in teaching rhetorical analysis at the introductory level is highly desirable.
Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration.
