The 2024 Reunion Weekend Celebrating the 50th Reunion of the Class of 1974 was an incredible opportunity to gather, support, and grow!
Learning does not cease after graduation! On Thursday, October 24th, many alumnae/i attended Alumni College, where returning alums were invited to sit in on Trinity classes, meet the students and professors, and experience life as a Trinity student in 2024! There were classes offered in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), the Humanities, Healthcare and Business Administration. Alums also got to tour Trinity’s new state-of-the-art newsroom where the new Trinity Times is headquartered!
Thursday closed with an incredible discussion between Judge Patricia Broderick ’71, and Trinity Dean of Professional and Graduate Studies Thom Mostowy, on her book “Reinventing the Wheel: Hard Roads Can Lead To Beautiful Places.” Judge Broderick discussed her story of overcoming pain, fear, and prejudice and living a life full of hope, resilience, and commitment to social justice.
Friday was filled with our incredible Symposium: “Democracy on the Ballot,” which featured The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin, former U.S. House of Representatives Speaker and Trinity Alumna the Honorable Nancy Pelosi, ’72, ABC News’ Beatrice Peterson ’12, and so much more. This was immediately followed by a welcome reception for all of our alumnae/i. Visit the Symposium page for more information about all of our distinguished guests, our informative programming, and the full livestream feed of the entire event!
Saturday began with a beautiful “Cap & Gown” Academic Convocation in the gloriously restored Notre Dame Chapel — celebrating it’s 100th anniversary this year. Our Seniors were celebrated, and we heard from President McGuire, the Provost, all of the Deans, Director of Campus Ministry, Sr. Ann Howard, Senior Class President Florence Njoroge, and distinguished Alum, Morgan Carrillo, who all bestowed their best advice to this year’s seniors.
Convocation was followed by our annual reunion luncheon, where the Class of 1974 were presented with their 50th reunion medals, and all classes were able to blend and mingle, take pictures and wax nostalgic about their glory days. This was followed by class meetings, the Well Sing, and a closing Liturgy and Reception.
Trinity Reunion weekend is an event like no other on campus, and Trinity is always so pleased to welcome back our sisters every year. Please stay tuned for announcements about photos and video becoming available, and also announcements regarding 2025 reunion!
