Trinity Provost delivers passionate remarks to press conference announcing bill protecting childhood arrivals.
On December 4, Trinity Provost Carlota Ocampo joined Senators Richard Durbin and Alex Padilla on Capitol Hill to announce the introduction of the 2025 Dream Act, which provides a path to citizenship for childhood arrivals.
In her remarks at the event, Provost Ocampo proclaimed that “passing the Dream Act is not only right and just for Dreamers, but by removing barriers and strengthening educational pathways to much needed careers, it is the right direction for colleges and for the country as a whole.”
Trinity stands with partners TheDream.us and the President’s Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration in enthusiastically pushing for this law that will massively improve the ability for all of America’s colleges to fulfill their missions, and keep America competitive globally as we continue to educate the next generation of professionals and leaders.
