Tuesday, September 8, Trinity Reads Launch Party: The Distance Between Us

Trinity Reads Launch Party – O’Connor Auditorium

September 8 @ 11:30 am1:30 pm

Trinity Reads is a one book – one community program that is in its 10th year. Each year, a book is chosen and the entire Trinity community to read it and discuss it at various events.

This year’s book is The Distance Between Us by Reyna Grande, an inspirational and unflinchingly honest memoir in which the author describes her childhood torn between the United States and Mexico, and shines a light on the experiences, fears, and hopes of those who choose to make the harrowing journey across the border.

100 copies of the book will be available for free at the Launch Party!

Additionally, Trinity Library is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Humanities for Justice to create the Trinity Reads Fellowship, a summer program that includes a fall capstone project. Fellows are students selected to help support Trinity Reads mission as a public educational program at Trinity Washington University.
