Trinity Professor Toni Scott named to Top 50 Women Leaders of Baltimore
Trinity congratulates Professor Toni Scott, long-standing adjunct in the Early Childhood Education program, who has been named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Baltimore for 2025 by Women We Admire! Professor Scott is the Director of Early Learning Classrooms at Kennedy Krieger Institute and provides mentoring and instruction to future educators and organizational leaders at Trinity.
Professor Scott teaches the Arts and Movement in the Classroom course in Trinity’s Early Childhood Education bachelor’s degree program, where she combines her extensive background in education with her unique expertise in the arts. She brings over a decade of transformative leadership experience to Trinity’s Early Childhood Education program, where she has served as an adjunct faculty member since Spring 2023. Her expertise spans special education, program management, workforce development, and organizational leadership, making her an invaluable mentor to Trinity students preparing for careers in education.
As Director of the Integrated Early Learning Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute, Professor Scott leads a pioneering demonstration project that serves as a model for inclusive, data-informed education. Scott oversees every aspect of program operations, from staff training and financial stewardship to evaluation and sustainability initiatives. Her collaborative work with state agencies and consultants has positioned the center at the forefront of early childhood education innovation.
Professor Scott’s distinguished career includes significant leadership roles with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education in Washington, DC, where her work strengthened accreditation pathways for educators across the DC area. Prior to that role, she served with District of Columbia Public Schools as an Evaluation Coordinator and Master Educator, where she led teams of special education evaluators and provided instructional coaching to over 150 educators.
Her academic credentials include advanced degrees in Special Education from Howard University and History of Decorative Art from George Mason University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan.
