Trinity Joins DC CAP University Partnership Network, Expanding Pathways for District Students

Trinity Washington University has joined the DC College Access Program’s University Partnership Network, creating new opportunities for DC students to pursue four-year degrees beginning with the 2025–2026 application season.

The partnership with DC CAP Scholars—a nonprofit dedicated to helping District students access and complete college with little to no debt—connects Trinity with a citywide network focused on enrollment support, persistence, and graduation success.

“Trinity has been a trusted partner in this city for more than a century,” said Eric Waldo, President and CEO of DC CAP. “We are proud to deepen our relationship through this new partnership, which will help more DC students enroll, persist, and graduate into strong careers and bright futures.”

“Trinity is thrilled to expand our decades-long partnership with D.C. CAP in this new way to provide exceptional scholarship opportunities for talented D.C. students,” said Trinity President, Patricia McGuire.

“We are grateful to D.C. CAP for their generosity in supporting the educational aspirations of students who can thrive when financial barriers are removed.”

Trinity enrolls more DC residents than any other private university in the city. With a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio, hands-on internships, and more than $11 million in aid awarded to DC undergraduates last year, the university offers the combination of affordability and personalized support that aligns with DC CAP’s mission.
