Trinity celebrated Reunion 2023 during a beautiful October weekend, welcoming members of all classes back to campus for three days jam-packed with exciting events! Full Reunion Schedule of Events

Reunion week kicked off with Alumnae College on Thursday – an exciting opportunity for alumnae to meet students and faculty and participate in classroom discussions. These classes showcased how Trinity continues to provided excellence in higher education by empowering students to truly engage with important topics through interactive class activities that extend far beyond lectures. Alumnae College also benefited Trinity’s students who gained insight from alumnae perspectives and experience.

Thursday’s activities culminated in a thought-provoking presentation on Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project by Dr. Allen Pietrobon – a fascinating examination of the origins of the nuclear weaponry: a topic that has ever-more importance in today’s conflict-ridden world. This session was livestreamed and recorded and the video will be posted here soon.

On Friday, Trinity hosted a Symposium on Artificial Intelligence, putting it in the vanguard of universities that have tackled this challenging topic. Rather than exploring the technicalities or politics of AI, the symposium gathered experts from healthcare, transportation, and higher education, to examine how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing areas of life that impact us all.

Saturday’s many events began with with a Trinity Tradition as the senior class of received their caps and gowns during Cap and Gown Convocation in Notre Dame Chapel. The chapel was full as alumnae joined proud family and and guests of the seniors in this celebration of the accomplishment of the Red Class of 2024. Many speakers lauded the senior class, including President McGuire, Trinity’s Deans and Provost – and the senior class officers also spoke to their delighted classmates. During the convocation, the incoming class of 2027 received their Gold Class Banner from the officers of the senior class.

As the festivities continued, alumnae gathered with members of their classes to enjoy a festive luncheon in the Trinity Center. Over a delicious lunch, alumnae were reunited with old friends and enjoyed conversation with their classmates. During the luncheon, the 50th Reunion Class of 1973 were celebrated and received their 50th reunion medals.

After the luncheon, class photos were taken and the classes adjourned to their class meetings across campus.

Reunion concluded with the Reunion Mass in Notre Dame Chapel, with Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala, auxiliary bishop of Washington and Vicar General of The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington presiding.

After the mass, alumnae were treated to a farewell reception with food, drinks, and fantastic weather on the front lawn before heading to their class parties.
