More than 35 Trinity students treated to professional panel by Baker Tilly accounting firm
As Trinity continues to expose its students to corporations and career opportunities, we were elated to bring the Baker Tilly accounting firm to campus. Hosted by Associate Professor and Business Administration Program Chair, Dr. Lynda Jackson, and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Barbara Goliday, more than 35 Trinity students were treated to a professional panel discussion by four Baker Tilly members who are a part of the company’s SOAR initiative to enhance the attraction, development, retention, and advancement of people of color and ethnically diverse team members. Students were highly engaged with the panelists, who discussed their perceptions of professionalism, success factors, and the importance of building relationships. Baker Tilly also brought plenty of corporate swag and delicious snacks to enhance the overall experience.
“These corporate visits align perfectly with our primary goal of securing internships and apprenticeships for our students. We believe this event strengthened our connection with Baker Tilly and may lead to valuable experiential learning opportunities for our Trinity women,” said Dr. Jackson.
