Trinity’s Commencement Set for May 2021: Virtual Graduation Ceremonies and Diploma Distribution
Trinity will confer degrees at a series of virtual ceremonies on May 18, 19, and 20, 2021, hosted by President Pat McGuire. These engaging, interactive Zoom sessions will include a ceremony, some “Pomp and Circumstance,” a formal reading of the names of graduates, words of encouragement from the faculty, deans and provost. A highlight of each ceremony will be when each graduate will have an opportunity be a part of this celebration – a chance to say a few words about what graduation from Trinity means to them. At the end of the celebration President McGuire will confer degrees formally.
Diploma Distribution
Trinity will host an in person, outdoor diploma distribution by school. Each graduate will have an opportunity to hear Provost Ocampo call her or his name and to walk up the aisle in front of the library, receive the diploma, have a photo taken with President McGuire and celebrate the moment. Graduates can purchase full academic regalia (cap, gown and tassel) to participate in the event.
The diploma distribution events will be held for each school:
- Friday, May 21 at 5 pm: Professional and Graduate Studies (including School of Professional Studies, Business and Graduate Studies and Education)
- Saturday, May 22 at 10 am: College of Arts and Sciences, Trinity’s undergraduate women’s college
- Saturday, May 22 at 2 pm: School of Nursing and Health Professions
Go to Trinity’s Commencement page for more information and for graduates to RSVP, purchase regalia and more.
