Watch this powerful video produced by Trinity Dreamers: #HomeisHere

As the Supreme Court prepares to hear the arguments on DACA, learn about the thousands of lives that will be affected with this decision – and particularly the lives of Trinity Dreamers. Trinity DC stands with the the Dreamers, because their #HomeisHere.

On Tuesday, November 12, the Supreme Court will hear arguments on the three cases that are the legal challenges to the Trump Administration’s decision to rescind DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals programs that confers a small measure of legal status on young undocumented persons who meet certain criteria, aka Dreamers.  Trinity enrolls more than 100 Dreamers, and our students will be deeply affected by the Supreme Court’s decision, expected in spring 2020.

Trinity is one of 165 colleges and universities that signed onto an amicus curiae brief (“friend of the court”) asking the Supreme Court to uphold DACA, the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” executive order that protects undocumented students.  You can read more about this on President McGuire’s blog: A Prayer for the Supreme Court and Supreme Solidarity for DACA Students. President McGuire’s commitment, and Trinity’s commitment, is to “continue to do everything possible to advocate for justice for our students and families.”
